Fun Play Only

No real money. No signup. No risk.

Your balance lives in this browser only via localStorage — it isn’t real and isn’t worth anything. Reset it any time from the controls panel. Every bet still uses real provably-fair machinery (HMAC-SHA256), so you can verify outcomes the same way you would on Stake, Shuffle or any of the other casinos WinLogger tracks. Click Provably Fair in the controls to inspect, rotate or audit your seeds.

Chicken — Rules & Provably Fair

How to play

Place a bet, then click the next lane to move the chicken across the road one lane at a time. Every lane you clear raises the multiplier. Cash out whenever you like — or keep stepping. Get hit and the bet is gone.

Difficulty sets how often a lane is hazardous: Easy 1 in 25 over 20 lanes, Medium 1 in 10 over 20, Hard 1 in 5 over 15, Daredevil 1 in 3 over 10. Harder roads pay far more per lane and end far sooner.

You are not dodging the cars — and you cannot be

Traffic runs in the lanes ahead of you, but the lane you are about to step into is deliberately held clear. You step into a gap, and only then do you find out whether a car was coming. Nothing you do with the timing of your click changes that.

This is not the game being coy. Every lane's hazard is fixed the moment you press bet, from a single HMAC. That is exactly what makes the round verifiable afterwards — and it is also why real dodging is impossible here. If clicking at the right moment could save you, the outcome would depend on your reflexes, and a reflex-dependent result cannot be committed to in a hash beforehand. Provably fair and skill-based dodging are mutually exclusive.

Every real-money chicken game has this same gap between what the animation implies and what the maths does. Most of them simply do not mention it. You can check ours: note the server seed hash, play a round, rotate the seed, then re-run HMAC-SHA256(revealed_seed, client_seed:nonce:0) — the first 8 hex bytes over 232 give lane 1's float, and it is a hazard when that float is below p.

Math

With a hazard chance p per lane, the survival chance is s = 1 − p and the multiplier after k cleared lanes is:

M(k) = 0.99 / sk

The expected return is 99% at every single step, whether you cash out on lane one or lane twenty. There is no clever stopping point and no lane that is "due" — each is independent.

Full crossings: Easy pays 2.24× and lands 44% of the time; Medium 8.14× at 12%; Hard 28.14× at 3.5%; Daredevil 57.09× at 1.7%.

Provably fair

The entire road is decided the moment you press bet. One nonce produces every lane's hazard through HMAC-SHA256(server_seed, client_seed:nonce:cursor), sliced into 8-byte floats — one per lane, hazardous when the float is below p. Nothing is generated as you step, so the game cannot react to how far you have gone. Rotate the server seed to reveal it and replay any round yourself.
