HiLo — Rules & Provably Fair
How to play
A card is drawn from a single 52-card deck. Predict whether the next card will be higher or lower in rank. Each correct call grows your chain multiplier; cash out anytime to bank the streak.
For matching ranks (Aces or Kings, where higher/lower has only one direction), use the Same button instead — this is the tie bet, paying 13× on its win condition (probability ~3/51 against a fresh deck).
Ranks: A = 1, 2-10 = face value, J = 11, Q = 12, K = 13. Suits don't affect the comparison.
Math
Each correct guess multiplies the running total by:
Lower-probability bets (e.g. "Higher" on a Queen) pay a bigger step than safer ones. The streak compounds until you cash out or call wrong, in which case the entire chain is lost.
Provably fair
The deck is permuted up front via HMAC-driven Fisher-Yates. Each draw is the next card in that fixed sequence. Reproducible from server seed + client seed + nonce.
